07 Oct Wedding Athol Hall | Carylyn & William
Carylyn and the bridesmaid got ready at the Shangri-La Hotel in the Rocks. The room was great with huge windows and view over Sydney Harbour.
My attention was immediately drawn to Caryl’s wedding gown. It was hanging in the window with the bridesmaids dresses and the “groommaid’s” suit.
The wedding dress was worn by both Williams grand mother and mother. When Caryl first tried this beautiful dress it fitted perfectly. Caryl did a few alteration as some of the fabric was a bit week.
Everyone was so relaxed and I had a great time documenting all girls, the groommaid and mam and dad getting ready.
Bradleys Head Amphitheatre was next stop. William and the groomsmen was at the car park greeting guest and getting pretty nervous. The Amphitheatre at Bradleys Head is an amazing place for an outdoor ceremony. Its just a few minutes drive from Taronga Zoo. It has a view over Sydney CBD, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
The wharf at Bradleys Head was used during the war for canons to protect Sydney Harbour, and you can still see the old canon tracks.
At Bradleys Head Amphitheater we probably have Sydney’s most wonderful ” wedding aisle ” The beautiful winding sandstone stairs makes for some amazing wedding photos as the bride makes her way down to the ceremony at the Amphitheater.
William was definitely struggling to hold back the tears when Caryl and her dad came walking down the stairs.
We also had plenty of tears during the wonderful and emotional wedding ceremony.
With the paper singed and all legal stuff out of the way, it was time for the group and family photos.
All the wedding location photos was taken at Bradleys Head before we took of and joined the guest’s at Athol Hall for the reception.
Athol Hall wedding reception is just a few minutes drive from Bradleys Head. Its a an old heritage building with views over Sydney Harbour. It has a great vintage style feel.
