03 Nov Jen & Chris – The Tea Room Gunners Barracks Wedding
Always loved shooting wedding at the Tea Room Gunners Barracks wedding. It has a beautiful old worldly character with its 1 meter thick walls stone yard and a stunning view.It is a great place to “show of Sydney ” especially if you are having a lot of overseas guests, and that is what Jen & Chris had.
It was a rainy and windy Sydney day, so it looked liked it was going to be a wet weather wedding – but it did not worry this lovely couple on bit.
I saw both Chris and Jen before the wedding – Jen and the girls had rented the penthouse at Cremorne Point Manor. I have been to the Cremorne Point Manor a few times before but never shot in the penthouse. It was a great place to photograph. Jen was sitting by the window getting her make up done with an beautiful view over the harbour bridge – that is when it was visible between the rain showers 🙂 . I had a lovely time photographing the girls getting ready.
Of to The Tea House Gunners Barracks wedding ceremony. As it was crazy weather the wedding ceremony was held on the terrace. The celebrant was the lovely Caroline Hamilton-Smith. Caroline held a beautiful ceremony with lots of tears and joy. Very cute moment when Jen’s little flowergirl came in with the sign “here comes the bride”
We were very lucky as just as we were ready to get out and do some location photos it stopped raining and we got about 20 min. shooting time outside.
Beautiful dinner – cutting cake and then PARTY.
A big thanks to the staff at Gunners – always great and always looking after us “wedding suppliers” as well.
Congratulation Jen and Chris – thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful day.
